OUTCOME BASED EDUCATION CURRICULUM AND EVIDENCE BASED LEARNING (2016- now)

Since 2015, Nutrition Science Program has implemented outcome based curriculum and evidence based learning method (EBL). EBL method is believed to be more suitable with current condition and would encourage students to be more sensitive to community nutrition problems. Previous learning method was more concern in cognitive aspect and did not emphasize in evidence aspect. In EBL, it is very important for students to have skills and working in field ability. In this method, in the first 8 weeks students will explore the theory by in class learning and the last 8 weeks students will learn in the field. Courses in EBL was conducted in cluster system where there is 4 main purpose of the cluster such as understanding nutrition problems, nutritional problem assessment, nutrition intervention, and monitoring and evaluation.
